The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), recognizing the positive contribution of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to society, has adopted as part of its long-term strategy various actions for contributing to society.
Several initiatives related to social responsibility are implemented by CySEC each year. However, these initiatives were not part of a comprehensive programme until 2012, when the CySEC administration adopted, as part of its strategic planning, conscious, organized, and responsible social action.
The successful implementation of CSR depends on the substantial commitment of the administration, and at the same time on the sensitivity, active support, and commitment of employees, as well as, frequently, that of other involved parties.
CSR actions are characterized by a team spirit and collective effort, and the active involvement of the entire CySEC staff in the development of proposals and ideas sets the foundation for their successful implementation.
