THE COMMISSION STRUCTURE ADMINISTRATION & PERSONNEL
ADMINISTRATION & PERSONNEL
The duties of the Administration and Personnel Department mainly include general office administration, book-keeping and accounting, budgetary functions and offers, monitoring the observance to the personnel rules, personnel training issues, filling of vacancies and other tasks such as keeping the archive of the personnel Provident Fund. The Department also deals with other current matters such as management of equipment and buildings. In addition, the Department provides secretarial support to the Investor Compensation Fund of Clients of CIFs.
 
The duties of the Administration and Personnel Department mainly include the following:
  • Monitoring the observance of Personnel Regulations
  • Monitoring of personnel training issues
  • Identifying needs for employment and recruiting
  • Keeping of the records of the Provident Fund of the CySEC employees
  • Keeping of the records of the Employees’ Welfare Fund of the CySEC
  • Coordination of the Health Care plan of the CySEC employees
  • Preparation of the CySEC budget and the monitoring of its accurate execution
  • Undertaking and monitoring the collection of fees/fines and the payment of expenses
  • Preparation of Financial Statements
  • Conduct of bids for the supply of consumables and equipment to cover the needs of the CySEC
  • Provision of secretarial support to the other Departments
  • Care for the correct management and maintenance of the equipment
  • Maintenance of the offices which house the CySEC
  • Provision of secretarial support to the Compensation Fund for Customers of Cyprus Investment Firms and other Investment Firms
  • Participation in the ESMA Committee for the Development of a Common Culture and Cooperation amongst the European Supervisory Authorities on security market issues
  • Health and safety issues at the CySEC.
