The Regulation (EU) No 236/2012 that came into force on 1 November 2012, on short selling and certain aspects of credit default swaps, introduces obligations on physical and legal persons to notify the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission on the following:

notification and disclosure of significant net short positions in shares,

notification of significant net short positions in sovereign debt,
-
notification of uncovered positions in sovereign credit default swaps.
