The CySEC monitors the European legislative proposals under negotiation on capital markets and provides its views to the Permanent Representation of the Republic in Brussels, contributing constructively in the re-shaping of legislation aimed at strengthening the integrity of the EU financial sector and ensuring the proper and sound functioning of the financial institutions and markets.
An Officer of the Legal Department is located at the Permanent Representation of the Republic in Brussels (Financial Services Attaché) for handling all issues of the EU Council on financial services relating to the competences of the CySEC.
